The film focuses on the environmental crisis in Kenya. Excessive deforestation is resulting in soil erosion. This in turn is having an adverse effect on the fertility of the soil. Food is decreasing while the population is increasing at an alarming rate. Farmers bound by the ancient but decayed traditions refuse to use fertilisers. Check dams, bench trenches and wind breaks have been built in an attempt to provide some respite from the eroding soil.
